Ripe, juicy strawberries sandwiched among sweet Hawaiian bread and baked French Toast style. My Strawberry French Toast Bake is ideal for Sunday brunch or a lazy Saturday breakfast.

I have become a touch hooked on french toast bake recipes on account that making my Pumpkin Pie Baked French Toast last fall. each of my youngsters love them too, so it’s now not hard to get them to sit down down and devour breakfast once I make this. since it’s strawberry season, I figured what better fruit to add to my preferred Baked French Toast recipe?

It honestly couldn’t be easier to make. simply think of how you commonly make french toast – eggs, milk, sugar, and bread, proper? Toss in some strawberries and you’ve were given this! I assume most of the people usually will use french bread for french toast, but I favor to use a loaf of King’s Hawaiian Bread. It’s were given a nice sweetness and holds up to the egg aggregate simply well. The strawberries are high-quality sliced thin and sandwiched between two layers of bread cubes, and then on pinnacle with a butter and brown sugar fall apart. i like to apply my egg slicer to get first-class even cuts for my strawberries.

Seasoned TIP – an egg slicer isn’t only for eggs! Use it to cut strawberries, mushrooms, bananas, or even smooth cheese!).

STRAWBERRY FRENCH TOAST BAKE

INGREDIENTS:
French Toast:
  • 1-16 oz loaf King's Hawaiian Bread
  • 5 eggs
  • 2 cups nonfat milk
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 cups sliced strawberries about 1 pint
Topping:
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup cold butter cubed
INSTRUCTIONS:
  1. Preheat oven to 350 stages. Use butter (or cooking spray) to lightly grease an nine"x13" baking dish.
  2. In a medium sized bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, sugars, cinnamon and vanilla.
  3. Layer half of of the torn bread pieces on the bottom of the baking dish, and layer 1 cup of the strawberries over the bread. Layer the ultimate bread, after which the final strawberries.
  4. Pour egg combination flippantly over bread and strawberries.
  5. In a small bowl, combine flour, brown sugar and cinnamon. cut in butter with a pastry cutter or your hands to mix till it resembles coarse crumbs. Sprinkle over the bread aggregate. 
  6. Bake at 350 stages for about 50 minutes. allow to cool and set for 10 mins. Serve heat.
